About the project

Save the Dress is an interactive game DMPL Studios made for the show floor of Digital Fashion Week x DigiFashion Forum 2026 in Taipei. It ran on a tall portrait touchscreen, and anyone walking past could start a round without instructions: touch the marble floor and the character walks to that spot.

The goal is to collect ten items before the countdown runs out. A timer and an item counter sit in the corner of the screen, so the rules explain themselves while you play. The tenth item ends the round on a VICTORY! screen, and the saved dress appears on a lit pedestal under falling confetti, a payoff big enough to read from across the room.

The same screen also hosted Afrodite, a conversational digital human: a fashion host in an embroidered jacket, standing in a virtual boutique, who answered visitors through a microphone on the stand. Built with Convai, she talked visitors through the forum, pointed them to upcoming sessions and speakers, and switched to Chinese when they asked.

One visitor posted their round to Instagram with a note: “Thank you for creating such an interesting game.”
