About the project
Saint Donutios puts a single donut on screen and treats it as a holy object, lit from within like an icon.
The donut stands in for consumption generally, and for the way people try to fill a gap by buying something that fits the shape of it.
The joke carries the argument: once pleasure is the thing we gather around and look up at, we have made a god of it without ever deciding to.
