About the film

MetaConversations follows Eve, a digital human trying to make a name for herself in the game art world. The film takes the shape of a televised interview, so the form itself is the joke and the argument at once: a synthetic performer being asked, on camera, whether synthetic performers can make art.

The conversation moves through what MetaHuman technology does to the art world, who gets to call themselves an artist, and where craft sits once the tools can imitate a face perfectly. Mock advertisements break the interview up, pushing the satire further.

Everything was produced in Unreal Engine, with the performance driven on a MetaHuman rig and the whole piece assembled in-engine rather than in a traditional post pipeline. It is the clearest example of the real-time approach DMPL brings to client work.
